About 7AAL

The name comes from the Arabic, Urdu, and Persian word haal — a term that has moved through centuries of poetry and philosophy across three of the world's great languages. It does not translate simply. It describes a state of being — not where you are, but how you truly are. We chose it because that is what clothing, at its best, does. It does not change you. It reflects you.

7AAL was founded in London by a husband and wife with a shared belief that womenswear should be built on restraint rather than noise. What followed was several years of research — visiting international markets, meeting manufacturers, understanding what it takes to make something that genuinely lasts. We work with four ethical manufacturers who produce every piece to our exact specification. Fabrics are selected for their weight, drape, and longevity. Embroidery is placed with purpose. Nothing is made in excess.

The result is a small, considered collection of coords and dresses designed for the woman who already knows who she is. Pieces that do not ask for attention, but tend to receive it.

We are based in London. Every decision — from the quality of the fabric to the weight of the packaging — is made with the same care.
